Is equipment provided?

• Balls and training equipment are provided, however you will need to provide your own cleats and mouth guard.

Where are games and practices held?

• Bi-Weekly practices are held at Arnold Middle School (11111 Telge, Cypress TX) on the practice field. Field availability is determined on weather conditions, so stay informed via TeamSnap, Facebook or WhatsApp for changes.

• Scrimmages, Matches and Tournaments are scheduled at the start of the season and can be held at local area parks/complexes in the greater Houston area as well as San Antonio and Dallas area. 

When are practices?

• Youth: Mondays and Wednesdays @ 6-7:30pm

• HS: Mondays and Wednesdays @ 6-8pm

*Practices are not mandatory, but we ask that you to attend as many as possible. Please notify your coaches when you are unable to attend.

How long is the season?

• The league's season runs from January through early June.  However practices usually begin in October or November to condition the teams for the season's games/tournaments.

Can Parents Drop off/pick up or are they required to stay at practice?

• While we love to see our parents watch our players at work, we understand life can be busy. For players under 14, we ask that parents stay present for the duration of practice. If you must leave, please notify the coaches. 

Will my child tackle?

• Youth: ages 7 - 8 Two Hand Touch at the waist only

• Youth: ages 9 – 14 Regulated below the waist tackle only

• High School 15-18 Regulated contact per Rugby Texas Guidelines

What are the Ages of the Youth Teams?

• Age bands in Rugby Texas are two-year age bands and fall on even numbered ages.

For example, “Under 10” = U10 and means that the player is under ten (10) years of age on September 1 of the registration year. In other words, these players were 8 and 9 years of age on September 1, 2024. Some of these players, who are 9, will turn 10 during the

season.

• High School - Enrolled and attending High School; Home School Students

  • U18 = 14-18 years old (9th-12th Grade)

• Youth: 

  • U8 = 6, 7 years old (1st & 2nd Grade)

  • U10 = 8, 9 years old (3rd & 4th Grade)

  • U12 = 10, 11years old (5th & 6th Grade)

  • U14 = 12, 13 years old (7th & 8th Grade)
